What Families Say
Heartfelt feedback from parents about their personal journey with us.
“We are incredibly grateful for all the support and care Sharon gave to our son. She used a variety of engaging sessions tailored to his needs, including learning social cues, coping strategies for anxiety, Lego therapy, gaming activities, baking buns, and even simple everyday skills like making tea. These sessions helped him feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged.
Sharon also provided invaluable support during his transition to his new school, helping him understand what to expect and giving him practical ways to cope with the changes. While some of their sessions were private conversations and counselling, which we fully respected, it was clear to see the positive impact they were having.
Since working with Sharon, he has really come out of himself. His anxiety has settled so much, and his confidence continues to grow. He is doing brilliantly at his new school and has made some lovely friendships with children in his class, as well as some of the kids he travels with in his taxi. We can’t thank Sharon enough for the difference she has made. Her kindness, understanding, and support have had such a positive impact on his life.”

“My boys have taken part in summer programmes led by these experts for years and they always have a wonderful time. Because my children have specific SLD and ASD needs, I usually feel quite anxious about group environments, but the trust I have in this team is absolute.
They foster a beautiful, nurturing atmosphere where every single activity is steered by what the individual child requires.”

“The depth of professional expertise at AUthenTISM is truly remarkable. Sharon and Elizabeth provide a level of dedicated care and understanding that is incredibly rare to find.
For our family, this service has been a literal bridge over troubled water, especially as other support options remain so limited. They localise their vast experience to every unique child, bringing genuine hope and light to families who often feel isolated.
I wholeheartedly endorse their respite care and can only describe their impact as transformative and divine during the most challenging periods.”

I am delighted to recommend Sharon and Elizabeth as they launch their new business AUthenTISM!
Sharon has worked with my son, Michael, on a number of occasions and has had a such a positive impact on his development. She has a natural ability to connect with children, creating an environment where they feel safe, understood, and encouraged to thrive.
Throughout her time working with Michael, Sharon was always so patient, professional, and caring. Her enthusiasm and dedication were evident in everything she did, and it was clear that helping children reach their full potential is at the heart of her work. Michael always has a big, happy grin as soon as he sees Sharon :).
I also had the chance to see Elizabeth working with children at a summer scheme last year and witnessed first-hand her genuine warmth, kindness, compassion, and natural ability to build meaningful connections with young people. She creates such a positive and engaging atmosphere where children feel valued and supported and most of all have fun!
Together, Sharon and Elizabeth make a wonderful team, combining their skills, experience, and genuine passion for supporting children - I have every confidence that their summer scheme will provide a fun, nurturing, and enriching experience for all who attend.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family considering the programme.

I actually don’t know where to begin. I am the mother of the most amazing and wonderful 13 year old boy. When he was in P1 it became very apparent that he was not behaving in the same way as the other kids in his class. His behaviour appeared neurotic, erratic, aggressive, impulsive basically unmanageable. The melt downs, the spontaneous dangerous reactions were challenging to say the absolute least. He morphed from a placid, calm and happy child into someone I didn’t recognise who was clearly not happy and content and was creating a home environment (and school environment) that was becoming unbearable.
Long story short, he received a neurodiverse diagnosis of ASD and ADHD. To say that I was shocked and scared by the new “labels” was an understatement. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get help, but I tried. I got none. I eventually found Sharon. I can’t explain what 6 sessions with her was like. It was like google translate for neurodiversity. She taught my son in a relatable and age appropriate way what emotions were. What they meant, how to use tools to regulate them. She taught me about his triggers, how stimuli affected his mind in a different way to my own.
The translation of the observed behaviour into a relatable language to both my son and myself was a game changer. I understood better his interpretation of the environment. I learnt tools to identify the signs and support him in ways to regulate his emotions. I got my beautiful, amazing and funny son back. I can’t put into words the impact Sharon has had on our lives. But to say I’ll be eternally grateful is an understatement. She can’t offer a “cure” or a “quick fix” but the help and support she provided was miraculous. Until you’re in this situation you can’t truly appreciate how desperate, lonely, scared and frustrated you can feel. Sharon gave us a lifeline to navigate this journey.
My son has had a few set of sessions over the years. Generally to help at key times in his life such as transitioning into post primary school. He still struggles with emotional regulation, feelings, empathy and interpersonal skills. But he is equipped with learning tools to help, I have a greater understanding of how this impacts him and together we have a wonderful loving bond.
So would I recommend Sharon to anyone who is having any sort of challenges with a loved one? ABSOLUTELY, in a heartbeat.
